A brief overview of 3D Printers with increased speed and accuracy along with current and forthcoming materials. This combination of Printer and Materials are allowing Doctor’s (Chair Side delivery) and Laboratories alike to offer faster, more immediate delivery to the Patient.
Question 1: What drives you?
Learning and continued growth. Change for the future, I’m not one to want to stay in the same space only living and working to maintain the status quo.
Question 2: Why should the delegate attend your presentation?
The phrase for 2021 in Dentistry is becoming “immediacy”. Learn how Doctors and Lab’s are offering a variety of Dental applications quicker and in some cases same day/same visit for the patient. This increases patient case acceptance and decreases time frames all while allowing for higher profitability along with happy patients.
Question 3: What emerging technologies/trends do you see as having the greatest potential in the short and long run?
A wider variety of clear/soft materials as well as stronger more esthetic materials for 3D Printing. Increased use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within 3D Printers.
Question 4: What kind of impact do you expect them to have?
Clear/soft materials offer a wider variety of parts/application along with increasing patient acceptance and comfort. The addition of strength and esthetics is rapidly heading toward permanent restorations being 3D printed. Increasing AI into the 3D Printer allows for faster more intuitive use of the 3D printer as well as automatic “file fixes”.
Question 5: What are the barriers that might stand in the way?
The only real barrier is time for development and of course then government approvals. All technology while never finished is growing exponentially and I personally believe faster than ever.
