3D Printing in Dentistry: Fad or Fundamental?

3D printing and additive manufacturing has many advantages over conventional workflows in dentistry. These include accuracy, efficiency, cost-savings, customization and potentially a more sustainable approach. Yet the adoption of 3D printing has met some hesitancy. This presentation will review 3D printing and present some traditional and experimental workflows with plastics, metals and zirconia. This will equip the clinician or technician to decide if 3D printing is a suitable workflow to explore.
